As many of you are aware... our beautiful state of Oregon has been battling historic wildfires. As of Saturday morning, 37 active wildfires had burned more than 861,000 acres throughout the state. These staggering numbers do not include the many fires burning in Washington State and California.
At this time, our farm is safely located in a level 1 evacuation zone. With a hopeful forecast on the way, we anticipate we will not be increasing to a higher evacuation level. We are prepared to follow any and all evacuation orders, and have a plan in place to relocate the goats if need be.
We truly appreciate everyone who has reached out to check on us during this time of uncertainty. The outpouring of love and support has been comforting and encouraging.
Several of you have contacted us, asking how you can help. The biggest need right now is to help support the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross has been assisting many evacuated and displaced families in our community and around the PNW.
